Neuer UNICEF Botschafter für Finnland ernannt : Jyrki69, Sänger der 69 Eyes

Hierzu eingeladen von UNICEF Finnland, unterschrieb Jyrki 69, Sänger der Rockband The 69 Eyes, heute den Vertrag für die Mitarbeit bei der Organisation.
Jyrki69 leistete bereits hervorragende Arbeit als Fürsprecher der UNICEF Aktion "Stolen Childhood". Diese Aktion wendet sich an Schulen in Benin/Afrika und unterstützt Kinder, die gefährdet sind verschleppt zu werden.

Während der Zeremonie sagte Pentti Kotoaro, vorsitzender Direktor von UNICEF Finnland, daß "die selbstlose Arbeit der Botschafter ein unbezahlbares Hilfsmittel für UNICEF ist. Mit ihrer Hilfe erreicht die Problematik der Rechte der Kinder ein Publikum, zu dem wir anders keinen Zugang hätten."

Die UNICEF Botschafter des guten Willens sind die Kuriere und Fürsprecher für die Rechte der Kinder. Sie verpflichten sich der Ziele der Organisation und setzen die Belange der Kinder auf ihre eigene Tagesordnung.

Internationale UNICEF Botschafter sind unter anderem Harry Belafonte, David Beckham, Robbie Williams, Angélique Kidjo und Sir Roger Moore, welcher bald Finnland besuchen wird.

UNICEF Finland appoints new Goodwill Ambassador: JYRKI 69, SINGER OF THE 69 EYES

Invited by the Board of Directors of UNICEF Finland Jyrki, singer of the rock band The 69 Eyes, today signed an agreement of cooperation with the organization. Jyrki 69 has done excellent UNICEF work as Spokesperson for the school campaign "Stolen childhood".
